New Horizons’ 4th Annual Walk on the Horizon

Date May 27, 2011

Join New Horizons for its 4th Annual Walk on the Horizon, and help this excellent San Fernando Valley-based organization raise funds for its programs for developmentally disabled adults.

Times are tough for non-profit organizations like New Horizons, as the State is making deep cuts to many programs and services amidst a multi-billion-dollar budget shortfall. One way you can help is to help New Horizons by participating in their fun fundraising walk.

There will be lots of activities, and live music by the band Arrest My Sister, whose lead singer is autistic. Proceeds benefit New Horizons, which has been serving adults with developmental disabilities who are learning independent living and job skills since 1953. New Horizons offers social support, employment training, and residential services to adults with special needs at their campus in North Hills.
